The Pinball Hall of Fame is the perfect place to test your pinball skills or learn about the history of the game. With over 300 pinball machines on location, it's the largest pinball location in the United States. The brand new building opened in 2021 and is located at 4925 Las Vegas Blvd South, Las Vegas NV 89119. The Pinball Hall of Fame hours are: open to the public every day Sunday to Thursday 10am till 9pm. Friday and Saturday we stay open till 10pm. Grab a can of beer and try your hand at Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tales from the Crypt or Twilight Zone. Think of it as an art exhibit with interactive, connective works of art and a docent who is a walking pinball encyclopedia. A brief synopsis is posted near every machine and players must be at least 7 years old to play – though younger family members may come observe. Local craft brews, ciders and vintage sodas are available here, but the main draw is pinball. 

It is worth planning a trip to downtown Chattanooga, TN to experience the Classic Arcade Pinball Museum. This interactive museum is dedicated to the history, science, and fun behind the fascinating game of pinball! Placards explain the history of vintage machines so you’ll leave knowing that Hercules is the largest pinball machine ever, how Earthshaker shakes, and why Delta Queen is a local favorite. Play all day for the price of admission with your come-and-go wristband or grab something from the snackbar. Local? Join a tournament or league. 

Playable Pinball Museum in Battle Creek, MI is a small collection of vintage and modern pinball machines with some real gems from the 60’s and 70’s and machines going all the way back to 1947. Located in a plaza, the pinball machines are set to free play for a low fee and tournaments are held regularly.

It’s a ghost town with a penny arcade... located in a classic Colorado mountain town! Arcade Amusements in Manitou Springs, CO is comprised of multiple old west storefronts. The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York, is the nation’s second-largest children’s museum and will entertain all ages with its highly interactive, collections-based exhibits devoted to the history and exploration of play. The Strong is home to the world's most comprehensive collection of toys, dolls, games, and video games. You can snap a selfie on the steps on a life-sized Sesame Street and peruse the Superhero Comics exhibits before heading into the arcade. You’ll also find a great collection of older and newer pinball machines to play and learn the history and cultural relevance of the games. 

The Asheville Pinball Museum is a great place to play pinball in Asheville, North Carolina. For only $15, you can play as many of their pinball machines as you want. They have over 30 machines from different eras, each with its own card with history and facts about the game. They also sell local craft beers, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Plus, the Asheville Pinball Museum features over 30 classic arcade video games, and they try to maintain a "games to people" ratio so that it's rarely too crowded.

Time to get out of the sun? Step into the air conditioning and the history of pinball at Fernandina Beach Pinball Museum in Fernandina Beach, FL. This family friendly little pinball museum is located in a plaza on the way to the beach and all games are set to free play for one low admission fee. Each machine in this well-loved collection includes a little placard explaining its origins and importance – like the 1932 Ballyhood “Baffle Ball” invented before flippers. The collection includes Star Wars, Ghostbusters, The Simpsons Pinball Party, Twilight Zone, and all of the pirate themed tables they could find in Fernandina Beach.

Upstate Pinball and Arcade museum is a fun retro arcade experience with a diverse collection of pinball machines and video arcade games. Pinball machines range from the 1970s to today's games and retro consoles and classic arcades from the golden age of the arcades (1977-1987). You also can read about the history of the many pieces they have in the museum. They are open Wednesday - Saturday. It is $10 for all-day admission, no quarters are needed. 

City Museum is a one-of-a-kind destination in St. Louis, MO. Part museum, part entertainment venue, part interactive art installation, City Museum is a must-see for anyone visiting the area. The museum boasts a collection of 20+ pinball machines, most of which are EMs from the 1960s and 1970s. In addition to the pinball machines, City Museum also offers a variety of interactive exhibits and activities that are sure to keep the whole family entertained. If you're looking for an all-day activity with kids in St. Louis, City Museum is a great option. However, if you're only interested in playing pinball, there are better places for pinheads to visit in the city. Either way, though, City Museum is a unique destination that should not be missed.
