Quickie Version:

Shoot lower right target bank to light left saucer, then lock ball; shoot lower left target bank to light upper top left lock, lock there to start multiball. Complete drop target banks, in order, for 5X bonus, then UTAD.

Eclipse is a rare game, with a playfield similar to Black Hole but no lower level. The key aspect to this game is that things must be done in a specific order to make progress towards both multiball and maximizing your bonus multiplier. The standup target four-bank at the lower right is your first goal, and you need to complete the targets to light the lock ball saucer above the upper left flipper. Once you’ve locked that ball, the standup target four-bank that faces that upper left flipper is next. Any hits on this bank scored before locking the first ball do NOT count as progress towards your second lock; the targets reset when you lock the first ball. Completing this set lights the top left lock saucer; this is the location where you shoot to go to the lower level on Black Hole. Once both balls are locked, you plunge to start a three-ball multiball. Scoring is tripled while all three balls are still in play, then drops to 2X once you’re down to two balls. Bonus is built by lanes and drop targets. Bonus multiplier is advanced in individual stages: get the left saucer for 2X; complete the center right-facing target 3-bank for 3X; the upper right 4-bank for 4X; the upper left 5-bank for 5X. The one you need next will be flashing. Completing the upper target banks lights the bottom right stand-up pad target to turn on the orbit value feature. The plan: get the target banks in order, lock your balls. During multiball, finish your bonus multipliers for 5X, then orbit shots to the top.
