The company’s debut title, Full Throttle (2015), earned acclaim for its high-speed motorcycle theme and innovative 10-inch LCD embedded directly in the playfield, demonstrating Heighway’s focus on bold playfield integration and modern pinball technology. Heighway followed with the officially licensed Alien (2017), introduced modular playfield concepts and other forward-looking design choices that captured enthusiast attention and helped reestablish British design credibility in the pinball industry. Despite early innovation and a strong niche following, the company faced production delays and financial difficulties, entered liquidation in April 2018, and had its assets — including the Alien project — acquired and continued by Pinball Brothers, ensuring Heighway Pinball’s design legacy endures among modern pinball machines and collectors.
