ABBA is the 3rd release by Pinball Brothers following Alien (2016) and Queen (2022). The game is based on the music of the Swedish pop-supergroup, ABBA, borrowing heavily from their Voyage show, currently running in London.
The game debuted with a launch party on the 50th anniversary of ABBA's famous Eurovision win, and looks to be set to start shipping around May of 2024.
ABBA peaked at #192 in our Hype Index, which tracks the most wanted Pinball IPs, making it a bit of a left-field choice, however our best guess is that ABBA is a theme that's primarily produced for the European market, where the band enjoys much stronger popularity.
We shared a first look at ABBA photos on April 4th, but here are a few select highlights.

The full picture of who is involved in the production of ABBA is still developing, however these names have all been confirmed.

ABBA will be offered in two versions.
Both versions are available for pre-order now through Pinball Brothers distributors, with shipping scheduled to start around May of 2024. The primary difference between the LE and CE offerings appears to be upgraded cabinet art.
Other notable gameplay features include:
We don't have full rules details just yet, but the marketing page for the game describes the game's objectives and storyline at a high level.
"Your mission is to make ABBA immortal by forging their Abbatars. To succeed, you need to gather their souls and travel through time and space — all so you can open the portal to the Voyage dimension, where the ancient Medallion of Power hides.
The Medallion of Power is your magic key during this journey. Piece it together and let the rapid voyage through time and dimensions begin.
To create their Abbatars, you must gather three main elements: the band members’ instruments, outfits — and very souls. To further enhance the ABBA experience, you’ll get to time travel to the ’70s and ’80s and follow their footsteps during their tours in Sweden, the Nordics, Europe, the USA, Australia, and Japan. And if transcending time and space isn’t enough, there’s a third voyage waiting for you…
Completing these tasks opens a portal to the enigmatic Voyage dimension. Dive into it quickly to search for the Medallion of Power, conquer three epic multiball battles, and face the final wizard mode. The better you do at those crucial stages, the more charged with power the medallion will become."
There will be 20 songs available in the final game. We know most, but not all of them at this point. Songs include:
Pinball News and Pinball Magazine covered the launch party with a live stream and other coverage from the event.
