Free to download on Steam, Pinball FX offers some of the best pinball graphics and gameplay around, with a huge variety of pins to choose from. In addition to replicas of Williams pins like Medieval Madness, Attack from Mars, and Indiana Jones, there are loads of original themes to check out. Pins based on South Park, Marvel superheroes, and even My Little Pony are available to play, with plenty of modes, missions, and online leaderboards to tackle.
Sorcerer's Lair on Pinball FX3
The previous game, Pinball FX3, is also one of the best pinball games on Steam Deck, providing extra pins and faster physics. That said, if you're looking for the newest Zen Studios original pins, like The Princess Bride, Goat Simulator, or Pacific Rim, you'll only find them on Pinball FX. If you're curious, give both games a download, as it's completely free to try. You can flip around on pins like Wild West Rampage, Sorcerer's Lair, and even the Williams classic, Fish Tales, all without spending a cent.
2. Yoku's Island Express

Developed by indie studio Villa Gorilla, Yoku's Island Express is a pinball-style adventure with tropical charm and good vibes. In this excellent pinball game on Steam Deck, you control the eponymous Yoku, a dung beetle arriving on the beautiful island of Mokumana. As the new postman, it's your job to deliver the mail and interact with the locals, but there's one problem. The entire island is shaped like a never-ending pinball playfield.

Rolling your ball around as Yoku, you catapult around the map, flipping through various sections as you find upgrades, collect fruit, and discover hidden treasures. Since Yoku can't jump, most of your movement is done through pinball-style navigation, with new parts of the map opening up as you discover more abilities. The upbeat music, soft animated art style, and constantly good vibes make Yoku's Island Express a perfect pinball game to play on Steam Deck.
3. Demon's Tilt and Xenotilt

If you're looking for a pinball game on Steam Deck that provides the most fast-paced, chaotic action per second, Demon's Tilt will get the job done. Created by just one guy, Adam Ferrando, Demon's Tilt is an onslaught of colorful pinball gameplay that floods the senses and fills you with dopamine. Inspired by the excellent TurboGrafx-16 games, Alien Crush and Devil's Crush, this indie title follows the same basic rules as traditional pinball, granting you three balls to obtain as many points as possible. However, the emphasis is much more on bashing bad guys and destroying bosses than it is ripping spinners or comboing ramps.
Xenotilt
Demon's Tilt presents the player with a three-tiered vertical playfield, each section stacked with demonic enemies to defeat and a slew of ball paths. Blasting through baddies and ripping shots is rewarded with explosive color and points galore, at times feeling like a Gauntlet-style action game. If you're a fan of the game, the futuristic sequel, Xenotilt, offers another stellar dose of flipper action. When other games feel too complex, let loose with Demon's Tilt or Xenotilt for some unforgettable pinball mayhem.
4. Pinball M
Pinball M
If maximum blood and gore sounds like a highlight for your ideal virtual pinball game, Pinball M is an obvious choice to play on Steam Deck. Also developed by Zen Studios, Pinball M is free to download, and puts an emphasis on hardcore, horror pinball. You can play Wrath of the Elder Gods: Director's Cut as much as you want for free, but you can also purchase extra pins like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Chucky's Killer Pinball, or The Thing. There are currently seven pins available, but new ones pop up every few months, providing a steady stream of content.

It's not just the cool horror pins and mature-rated gore that makes Pinball M so cool. This excellent pinball game on Steam Deck offers a huge variety of modes and customization, including campaign missions for each pin, daily challenges to chase, online tournaments, and so much more. You can track down “table masteries,” unlock custom flippers, and even alter the cabinet art. If you've got an OLED Steam Deck, Pinball M is also remarkably good-looking with HDR, making it a great game to showcase the handheld. Even if you've tried out Zen Studios' other games, give Pinball M a try for some true pinball carnage.
5. The Pinball Wizard

For something a bit more lighthearted, there's The Pinball Wizard, an often-overlooked indie pinball game developed by Frosty Pop. As the name implies, the game features a pinball wizard, but instead of commanding the playfield, the sorcerer acts as the ball in play. Using your trusty flippers and the wizard's magic abilities, you must ascend a fantastical tower full of monsters and obstacles. With some RPG-style mechanics, The Pinball Wizard is a deceptively good pinball game with more depth than you'd think.

The tower has 21 floors to ascend, each acting as a small pinball playfield with simple shots, barrel bumpers, and monsters. Your overall objective is to find the key and exit to the next floor, but you can amass experience points and treasure along the way. Increasing your level unlocks new abilities, such as a mid-flipper post or an orb to throw at enemies, and treasure can be used to further upgrade your powers. Skilled players will likely be able to climb the tower in just a few hours, but daily dungeons and unlocking all upgrades provide extra replayability. If you're looking for a pinball game on Steam Deck that is easy to play and great for all ages, The Pinball Wizard fits the bill.
6. Rollers of the Realm

Developed by Phantom Compass, Rollers of the Realm is an indie pinball/RPG hybrid game that was released way back in 2014, but it's still one of the best pinball games on Steam Deck. Similar to The Pinball Wizard, Rollers of the Realm uses pinball gameplay to tell a fantasy story, where the characters are the balls and the playfield represents the world. In a classic RPG tale, the game pits you in a constantly warring kingdom as an impoverished rogue, starting off in a simple town before embarking on a grander journey.
Rollers of the Realm offers a linear pinball adventure, separated into chapters, with multiple unlockable characters, upgrades, and equipment. Each playfield is its own little quest, requiring you to pickpocket coins, defeat enemies, navigate dungeons, and more. As you earn coins by flipping around the playfield, you can upgrade your existing characters or unlock new ones, offering more strategy in how you approach objectives. Different characters have unique abilities that can be activated once you've collected enough mana, and making proper use of those powers can drastically alter your chances of success. You can't score any jackpots or earn a grand champion score in Rollers of the Realm, but this pinball/RPG hybrid is still loads of fun, especially on Steam Deck.
