Portland's pinball scene stretches well beyond the city limits. The metro's anchor attraction sits in Hillsboro, where one of the world's largest arcades houses hundreds of machines on free play. Downtown and the inner eastside concentrate most of the barcade options, with Ground Kontrol and QuarterWorld drawing crowds to Old Town and Hawthorne respectively.
The outer neighborhoods fill in the gaps. Sandy Boulevard, Division Street, and the St. Johns neighborhood each have their own pinball-forward spots, while the Lents district anchors a food hall with machines. Most venues are 21+ after evening hours, though several offer all-ages windows earlier in the day.

Here's where to find pinball across the Portland metro.
Pinball museum · Hillsboro

Next Level Pinball Museum operates one of the largest arcades on the West Coast from a 27,000-square-foot facility in Hillsboro. All games run on free play with a flat admission price of $23, and wristbands include same-day re-entry. The space doubles as a pop culture museum with vintage toys, signed movie memorabilia, and lunch box collections covering the walls. Weekly tournaments run most Friday nights.
Pinball museum · Lloyd Center

Star Tropics restores and exhibits vintage and modern pinball machines from a space inside Lloyd Center mall. The museum area runs on free play with an $8 admission, while a couple of machines in the lobby take quarters. The lineup rotates as machines cycle through restoration.
Barcade · Old Town/Downtown

Ground Kontrol packs over 100 arcade and pinball games across multiple levels in downtown Portland's Old Town neighborhood. Machines run on quarters and tokens, and the venue has operated since 1999. A full bar serves cocktails alongside a food menu of tacos, nachos, and quesadilla sliders. Monthly pinball tournaments award golden flipper keychains to winners.
Barcade · Hawthorne

QuarterWorld fills a converted space on upper Hawthorne Boulevard with pinball and classic arcade games. The venue charges a $2 entry fee, and games take quarters. Two full bars serve cocktails and draft beer, with a food menu of burgers and pizza. A musical Tesla coil named Tessi adds atmosphere.
Pinball bar · Hollywood

Wedgehead focuses exclusively on pinball—no video games—with a rotating collection drawn from over 150 machines in the owner's personal collection. The venue operates on a $12 wristband for all-day free play with re-entry privileges. A full bar and kitchen serve craft cocktails alongside scratch-made food including house-made chicken nuggets and churros.
Bar with arcade · St. Johns

The Fixin' To converted a former music venue into a pinball and arcade bar in the St. Johns neighborhood, with machines curated in partnership with the Wedgehead owner. The bar serves Southern-style food including Frito pies alongside cocktails.
Dive bar · Southeast Portland

C-Bar keeps its machines priced at $0.50 per play in a dive bar setting on Gladstone Street. Games come from Rose City Pinball. A food menu and craft beer selection round out the offerings. The venue hosts the Belles & Chimes women's pinball league.
Diner and bar · Buckman

My Father's Place operates from a historic 1872 building as a diner and bar with a game room. The space includes pinball, pool tables, a jukebox, and board games. Breakfast runs all day, and the bar stays open until 2:30am daily.
Sports bar · Richmond/Division

Scoreboard Sports Bar keeps pinball alongside pool tables, Skee-ball, and multiple TVs for sports in a neighborhood dive bar setting on Division Street. Games run on quarters. Weekend karaoke and affordable pub food draw regulars.
Beer bar · Buckman

Beer added a pinball room as part of an expansion of this craft beer bar on Stark Street. The venue focuses on bottled and draft beer with food available from the adjoining Meat Cheese Bread sandwich shop. Video lottery also available.
Restaurant and bar · Hawthorne

Gift houses a pinball arcade in the back of this restaurant and bar on lower Hawthorne. A full food and drink menu serves the main space, while weekly events include trivia and film club nights.
Food hall · Lents

The ZED anchors Portland's Lents neighborhood as a food hall and entertainment complex housing Zoiglhaus Brewing Company, multiple restaurants, and a cocktail bar. Lents Pinball operates machines in the venue and hosts tournaments including the Oregon Solid State Pinball Championship.
For dedicated collections, head west to Hillsboro for Next Level or stay central at Ground Kontrol and QuarterWorld. Casual players can find a few machines at neighborhood bars throughout Southeast Portland. Most barcades shift to 21+ in the evening, so families should plan for daytime visits.
