About American Pinball

About American Pinball

American Pinball, a pinball game manufacturer based in Chicago, Illinois, was founded in 2015 by Dhaval Vasani. The company is a subsidiary of Aimtron, a specialist in electronics component manufacturing and PCB assembly. American Pinball emerged from the failure of John Popadiuk's Zidware venture and its Magic Girl project. Their first game, Houdini, released in 2017, was partially based on a design by Popadiuk, who was later let go from the company. American Pinball has since released three more games, Oktoberfest, Hot Wheels, and Legends of Valhalla, and is rumored to launch a fifth game in 2023. The company has had several notable game designers, such as Joe Balcer and Dennis Nordman, on its team. American Pinball is known for its unlicensed pinball themes, with the exception of Hot Wheels released in 2020.
