Def Leppard is an English rock band formed in 1977 in Sheffield as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. Comprising members Joe Elliott, Rick Savage, Rick Allen, Phil Collen, and Vivian Campbell, the band's unique fusion of hard rock, glam, and pop elements quickly propelled them to global stardom. Their catchy hooks, powerful vocals, and energetic performances have earned them a place among the greats of rock music.

Their breakout album, 1983's "Pyromania," produced hits like "Photograph" and "Rock of Ages," skyrocketing the band to international fame. But it was 1987's "Hysteria" that truly cemented their legendary status. The album, notable for the ambitious production techniques of "Mutt" Lange, spawned a staggering seven hit singles, including timeless classics like "Pour Some Sugar on Me" and "Love Bites." Def Leppard's sound, characterized by layered and harmonized vocals and polished production, helped them stand out from their contemporaries and become one of the best-selling rock bands of the 80s.
