Price and Production

This Week in Pinball reached out to Suncoast Pinball to inquire about the pricing and availability of this machine:

Cosmic Carnival is $5995 and production has already started. Our line can scale up to about 10 per week, depending on orders, and we have a second line already in place if we need to scale up to 20 per week…we are shipping the first preorders and several dealer machines right away. All new orders will follow and should be able to ship out by the end of June-beginning of July.

Main Objective


Welcome to the Cosmic Carnival, the greatest show in the universe. There is a battle for control of the Cosmic Carnival between the ringleader, Talos, and the cosmic clown Wrath. Each of them have 5 challenges or modes to clear. Whoever clears their challenges first wins control of the Carnival for a jackpot. Clear all the challenges and receive a super jackpot and start the wizard mode. Let the games begin!

Skill Shot

Hit 1-2 of the lower drop targets on the three bank drop target to reveal a gate that allows you to access the shooter lane that will auto launch your ball back to the top roll over switches. Be careful not to hit all three as the targets will reset on you. Access this shot to add 250,000 points to your bonus points.

Challenge Modes

Ringleader mode:

The Ringleader – Given name is Talos from the planet K269. Loves to entertain in the spotlight and can speak 242 languages. One of the many characters in the Cosmic Carnival Universe.

Hit the Ringleader ramp three times to activate this mode. Once activated you will have to hit the right and left ramp in series, one after the other, three times. The LED lights will light up which ramp is active. Once complete, an animation will display signaling the completion of the mode followed by lighting that insert in the middle of the playfield as well as one in the Ringleaders tally.

Cosmic Clown mode:

Cosmic Clown aka The Wrath. Still sleeps with his teddy bear. Is an excellent marksman. Has over 100,000 minions throughout the Galaxy.

Hit the Cosmic Clown ramp three times to activate this mode. Once activated you will have to hit all 10 targets throughout the playfield. The LED lights will light your path. Hit the Cosmic Clown ramp to add bonus points to the next target. You can only add a bonus to each target one time. Once complete, an animation will display signaling the completion of the mode followed by lighting that insert in the middle of the playfield as well as one in the Cosmic Clowns tally.

Dunk Tank mode:

There are three targets in the Dunk Tank area. Hit all three targets once to light the first LED light in front of the Dunk Tank. Hit all three again to light the next light, etc. Once all three lights are lit you have activated the Dunk Tank mode. Once activated you will have to hit the inner lane from left to right then right to left. You better hurry as this mode is timed and you only have 60 seconds to complete. The LEDs will guide your path. Once complete, an animation will display signaling the completion of the mode followed by lighting that insert in the middle of the playfield as well as one in the Ringleaders tally. Once Dunk Tank is complete your ringleader multiball will be lit.

Draleana mode:

Draleana – Origins unknown. She is empathetic, has a thing for clowns and is an accomplished pilot.

Hit the three drop targets on the right side of the playfield. Once you hit all three you will light the first LED in front of the drop targets. Hit all three again to light the second led and so on. Once all three led’s are lit you will have activated Draleana Mode. Once activated you will have to hit the drop targets eight times to spell out Draleana on the main screen. Each time you hit the drop target they will reset. Once complete, an animation will display signaling the completion of the mode followed by lighting that insert in the middle of the playfield as well as one in the Ringleaders tally.

Star Hopper mode:

Hit the inner lane from right to left three times to activate Star Hopper Mode. Once you have activated this mode you will have to shoot both ramps and both inner lanes. The LED lights will turn off when you have completed that portion. This is a timed mode and you will have 90 seconds to complete. You can hit the center scoop up to three times during this mode to add bonus points. Once complete, an animation will display signaling the completion of the mode followed by lighting that insert in the middle of the playfield as well as one in the Cosmic Clowns tally.

Comet Chaser mode:

Hit the inner lane from left to right three times to activate this mode. Once activated you will have to hit the skill shot first, followed by both inner lanes twice. Once complete, an animation will display signaling the completion of the mode followed by lighting that insert in the middle of the playfield as well as one in the Cosmic Clowns tally. Once complete you will activate the Cosmic Clown multiball.

Mystic Martians

Hit Mystic Martians three times within 60 seconds to activate this mode. There are 4 1⁄2 drop targets throughout the playfield, hit each one twice within 10 seconds of each other to light the LED in front of it. Once you have all four lit you will complete Mystic Martians. Once complete, an animation will display signaling the completion of the mode followed by lighting that insert in the middle of the playfield as well as in the ringleaders tally.

Maintenance Team (Zed and Ed Insert):

There are four 1⁄2” oblong targets throughout the playfield. Hit each one once to activate it and once again, within 10 seconds, to light the LED in front of that target. Once all four are lit you have activated the maintenance team, Zed and Ed. Once activated hit the Dunk Tank targets eight times to spell ZED and ED on the main display to complete this mode. Once complete, an animation will display signaling the completion of the mode followed by lighting that insert in the middle of the playfield as well as one in the Cosmic Clowns tally.

Freak Show:

Light all three LEDs three times for the Freak Show, upper rollover targets, to activate. Your right flipper will move the lights right. Once activated you must hit the skill shot three times to complete. Once complete, an animation will display signaling the completion of the mode followed by lighting that insert in the middle of the playfield as well as one in the Ringleaders tally.

Security Force:

Light two LEDs three times for the Security Force, four lower rollover switches, to activate. Once activated there will be four targets that will flash green that you must hit. Keep an eye on the targets since they will change every seven seconds. If you hit a target, the LED will stop flashing. Once complete, an animation will display signaling the completion of the mode followed by lighting that insert in the middle of the playfield as well as one in the Cosmic Clowns tally.

Multiballs

Ringleader Multiball:

Ringleader Multiball is activated by completing the Dunk Tank Mode. Once complete you must hit the center scoop, Mystic Martians, twice to activate the 3-ball multiball. This multiball will have a ball save for 30 seconds.

Cosmic Clown Multiball:

Once you have completed the Comet Chaser Mode you will have to hit the center scoop, Mystic Martians, twice to activate the 3-ball multiball. This multiball will have a ball save for 30 seconds.

Wizard Mode: Winning Control of the Carnival

If you win control of the carnival you will be given a 4-ball multiball with a ball save of 30 seconds!
