2025 is already shaping up to be a landmark year for pinball enthusiasts. Established manufacturers and newcomers alike are launching a wave of new pinball machines, from blockbuster licenses to inventive original IP. Stern opened 2025 with Dungeons & Dragons: The Tyrant’s Eye, designed by Brian Eddy with code by Dwight Sullivan. Players battle the dragon Rath across Pro, Premium, and LE models, with RPG-style progression saved via Insider Connected. Highlights include an animatronic dragon, pop-up “Dungeon Crawl” scoop, magnetic Gelatinous Cube trap, and a “PinSave” system to resume games later.

Portal Pinball brings Valve’s hit game to Multimorphic’s modular P3 platform. It’s the ninth P3 release, featuring new lower playfield mechs, art by Brad Albright, sound by Scott Danesi, and original GLaDOS voice work. Available in Standard and Extended kits, with extra toys in the Extended. Production starts summer 2025.

Texas-based Turner Pinball’s second title, Merlin's Arcade, swaps ninjas for wizards. Designer Jon Norris and team delivers a medieval fantasy with “Finesse Flippers” for precise control. Legendary Edition ($8,995) adds toys like a Foosball Knight and barrel lock; Arcade Edition ($6,995) is streamlined. Shipping expected summer 2025.

Barrels of Fun follows Labyrinth with Dune Pinball, based on Denis Villeneuve’s 2021 film. Limited to 1,000 units ($11,600), it includes premium touches like Infinity Glass and an illuminated Ornithopter topper. Toys include an interactive Sandworm, spice harvester, and Bene Gesserit pain box. All units ship by year’s end.

Keith Elwin’s King Kong adventure features Pro, Premium, and LE models (932 LEs worldwide). Kong grabs balls on Premium/LE, a train toy flips during multiball, and a giant spider magnet adds chaos. Four flippers and pulp-adventure styling round out the package.

JJP’s long-awaited Harry Potter Pinball spans three editions: Arcade ($9,999), Wizard ($12k), and Collector’s ($15k). Designed by Eric Meunier, with CE art by MinaLima, it’s loaded with toys – Whomping Willow, Quidditch upper playfield, Sorting Hat, Grand Staircase – plus film clips and music.

Based on the 1987 film, Predator Pinball is a widebody with a motorized helicopter lock, attacking Predator figure, and spinning minigun turret. Includes Alan Silvestri’s score and iconic movie callouts.
A premium re-skin of Stern’s Jaws for the film’s 50th anniversary. Features new glitter-trimmed art, red armor, brass ramps, and special badging. Gameplay remains unchanged – with the moving shark fin, Orca upper playfield, and boat-bashing shark toy intact.
An updated home model with Insider Connected, priced at $4,799. Includes film clips, John Williams music, and toys like a Death Star and TIE Fighter. Aimed at families and new players wanting online achievements and leaderboards.
Returning to the familiar ground of the original Star Wars film trilogy (Episodes 4-6), Star Wars: Fall of the Empire is the latest cornerstone release from Stern by designer John Borg and coder Raymond Davidson.

Stern Pinball revealed the oft-rumored second remastered title in their lineup, revisiting the 2014 player favorite, The Walking Dead.
