Tom Petty

Tom Petty was an iconic American rock musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer who had a profound impact on rock music over his four-decade career. Born in Gainesville, Florida, in 1950, Petty dropped out of high school at age 17 to play bass with his newly formed band. He gained prominence as the lead vocalist and guitarist of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, formed in 1976.
